F.A.Q. & RULES

Answers to the questions players ask most often about our servers, our anti-cheat, and what gets you banned.

We keep the ruleset short, but we enforce it. Offenses fall into two tiers:

Permanent · No appeal
  • Cheating of any kind, including:
    • Aimbot
    • Triggerbot
    • Wallhack
    • Autobhop
    • Spinbot
    • Autoshove
    • Addon blocker bypassing
    • Sound modification or deletion
    • Any other third-party tool that does actions for you (excluding macros)
  • Evading a ban with alternate accounts.
  • Helping cheaters test cheats on our servers.
  • Sharing your account(s) with banned players so they can circumvent their ban.
  • Doxxing: sharing or threatening to share someone's private information.
Temporary
  • Exploiting bugs or maps to gain an unfair advantage.
  • Griefing: intentional team damage, or sabotaging your own team.
  • Racism: racial slurs or racist remarks in chat or voice.
Notice: repeated offenses stack and increase in length, up to a permanent ban.

Admins have discretion on the severity and length of the ban based on context and history.

  1. Sign in with the Steam account that was banned.
  2. Open the ban list and find your ban (search by your name or Steam ID), then click the row to expand it.
  3. Click Appeal this ban, explain what happened, and submit. An admin will review your appeal and you will be notified of the result.

Cheating bans are final and cannot be appealed.

Your appeal can be denied entirely or you may be asked to give more context, if an appeal is denied your ban will remain in place for the full duration.

Verification of your account is required to access all of the features on our site:

  • Claiming a display name
  • Commenting on news posts
  • Participating and playing in teams or tournaments

Our server's private anti-cheat is pretty advanced and is under active development to catch more methods of cheating.

In most cases, cheaters have either already been detected and are pending a banwave, or they will be caught in the future.

If you have concrete evidence against a player that doesn't play on our servers (or hasn't cheated yet), feel free to report them to me personally through Discord.

Absolutely.

We run our own private anti-cheat that's actively being developed and already outperforms the publicly available alternatives like LILAC (Little Anti-Cheat) and SMAC (Sourcemod Anti-Cheat).

This is mostly because our detection methods are closed source and target Left 4 Dead 2 specifically, rather than all Source engine games.
